MNH RECEIVES THE WORLD QUALITY COMMITMENT AWARD GOLD CATEGORY

Muhimbili National Hospital has received the World Quality Commitment Award gold category in recognition of its commitment to quality of services, leadership, and utilization of technology, innovations and customer satisfaction.

The World Quality Commitment Convention and presentation of the 2011 International Quality Awards took place recently in Paris at the Concorde La Fayette Hotel.

The World Quality Commitment Award is presented to outstanding companies as an entity for corporate achievement to recognize leadership, quality of services offered by individual companies to its clients, use of technology,customer satisfaction and prestige of organizations in different countries throughout the world; that further their reputation and position by implementing and promoting quality culture. MNH has complied with these set standards.

This award is coordinated by Business Initiative Directions (B.I.D) based in Paris.

The voting process was carried out during the B.I.D World Congress with meetings in Paris, London, Geneva,Frankfurt, Madrid and New York over the past ten years based on one or several of the following concepts;The Quality Commitment QC100 principles, Customer Satisfaction, Leadership, Technology, Best Practice,Business Results, ISO 9000 and TQM.

Describing the Award, the President and CEO of B.I.D. Mr. Jose E. Prieto said that the awarded organizations are symbols of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation, making them models for others in their sectors.

According to Mr. Makwaia Makani, then Acting Executive Director, who was in Paris to receive the Award on behalf of the Hospital along with Dr. Hedwiga Swai, Acting Director of Medical Services said the award will stimulate the Hospital commitment to quality service delivery.

Muhimbili National Hospital has received a certificate and a gold trophy in recognition of this achievement.

The Hospital further commits itself to continued quality health care delivery to the nation.
